Coordinator of Leadership Programming & Events

Nyia Duncan joined Women Leaders in Sports January 2023 as the Coordinator of Leadership Programming and Events.

Prior to Women Leaders, Nyia was an Academic Advisor for the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Nyia managed the academic schedules for students at the School of Medicine and assisted with the opening of a new campus in St. Josephs, Missouri. Before the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Nyia served as a Graduate Assistant at Ottawa University, in Ottawa, KS, while completing her Master's in Business Administration.

Nyia graduated from Friends University, in Wichita, KS, with a Bachelor of Science in Health Management and a minor in General Science and Business Administration. A Kansas City native, Nyia enjoys coaching youth basketball, volunteering with various organizations, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends!
