Chicago, Il, and Kansas City, Mo. – Altius Sports Partners (ASP) and Women Leaders in College Sports have announced an extension of their partnership to support the advancement of women in leadership positions within college sports. The partnership will specifically focus on identifying and developing talent for ASP's on-campus Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) General Manager (GM) program.

The collaboration between ASP, a leading advisor to elite collegiate athletics programs, and Women Leaders, a premier leadership organization dedicated to advancing women working in college sports, will be aimed at creating pathways for women to leadership roles in college sports. The two organizations share a common mission to promote diversity and equity in the sports industry.”

The Career Connect platform offered by Women Leaders will be used to assist ASP in recruiting candidates for new positions, including on-campus NIL GM roles. The ASP GM program was launched in July 2022 and has already been adopted by eight Power 5 schools. It offers a standalone vertical of NIL support services within athletics departments and includes education for all stakeholders, as well as a customized approach for each department.

ASP CEO, Casey Schwab, expressed his excitement about the partnership and the potential to cultivate top-level candidates for the GM program. He stated, "This is exactly the kind of partnership that speaks to our values; we are side-by-side in the mission to educate, engage and challenge leaders to make more diverse and equitable hires. There is no better partner to promote these incredible women across the college landscape and in turn continue to develop the leaders of the future."

Patti Phillips, CEO of Women Leaders, echoed Schwab's enthusiasm, saying "We are thrilled to extend and elevate our partnership with Altius Sports and work with them to hire a diverse team for their GM roles. NIL is a critical aspect of the college sports landscape, and we know there are many women ready to lead in that space. Our Career Connect platform will allow us to connect talented and experienced women with these opportunities.”

A premier sponsor of Women Leaders, ASP will continue to leverage its expertise, campus and brand relationships, and GM program to create more opportunities for women in the college athletics landscape. The partnership between ASP and Women Leaders represents a significant step towards promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the sports industry.
