2018 Annual Report: A POWERFUL Year! 

This year, we have found ourselves celebrating GIRL POWER. This theme bubbled up in late 2017 when we witnessed the first-ever "all-girl Fiesta Bowl"–the first time two athletic departments led by women (Sandy Barbour's Penn State Nittany Lions and Jen Cohen's Washington Huskies) met in a New Year's Six Bowl game. The POWER theme continued throughout 2018: as women in our industry had the most powerful year in our organizations history. Sixty-eight women advanced–either for the first or second time-into athletic director, conference commissioner, or executive leadership positions this year. 

We are proud to say that Women Leaders in College Sports has played a part in this momentum. We are changing the narrative around how our industry–and our world–view women as leaders. Our organization is a powerful force that is influencing the world of college sports. And that is thanks to YOU! Thank you for committing to be a positive change. Thank you for being a champion. Thank you for participating, connecting, supporting and being powerful advocates for one another!
